Serene Vella: I thought it would be fun to be a "child" but was creeped out by the looks of the avis! Beacon Becloud: Lludmila if adults approach you in a certain way there is an organisation set up that wants you to report that too Lludmila Mirrikh: In a "childsafe" area. Lludmila Mirrikh: I've had an adult avi approach me. LaDonna Upshaw: however, there are issues with being a child in sl Lludmila Mirrikh: I have spent this afternoon on SL a couple of times and I am already TOTALLY CREEPED OUT. Lludmila Mirrikh: Child avatars are an oppressed minority on SL - and while I feel FOR them, I don't really understand the desire to be a child again. Lludmila Mirrikh: You might remember Marianne McCann - she did an exhibit on "Why a Kid." Lludmila Mirrikh: Then I remembered the problems one of my Flickr acquaintences was having as a child avatar. Lludmila Mirrikh: There's very little in the line of avatars that I have NOT used, so it was hard for me tothink of something different.

Lludmila Mirrikh: I've done this before, as a black man. You: So that's a little bit about how I feel and why I am doing this. You: Yes, Beacon it is about both our feelings and the way we are treated. despite the fact that my normal av doesn't look like me, I have used it so long that I identify with it. You: and I still even here don't feel like me. Beacon Becloud: so its an experiment on your own feelings too then You: everyone was wearing evening gowns and tuxes You: and she tped me to a jazz dance club. You: I have only worn this around the club so far, except briefly before I logged off You: everything is covered up instead of everything hanging out. You: I also chose this look because it is the polar opposite of the norm for sl.
